Tripod vase polychrome hand painted. This decorative piece is hand thrown and had three legs tripod. Like many ancient vases found in the Americas. It measures approximately 5.5 inches tall and 6 wide. check out the picture to compare with other pieces made at the same time.

About the building process:  

    First I collect the clay and hand coil it into the shape of The Amerindian inches burner. In order to get the feel and result of Ancient Native American pottery i use local river clay. I let the piece air dry then sand and paint the designs with natural clay pigments from different colored clays, then I further let them dry outdoor in the Sun. I then pit fire them in my studio. The Amerindian inches burner is due to the properties of the clay and fire clouding which means painted by fire. Each piece takes close to twenty days to complete These items are one of a kind artisan piece. This craft is authentic Purepecha First Nations pottery.
