Ceremonial Mayan glyph Jade Cup .  This is one of kind piece and is hand sculpted. This Green Ceylon Ceremonial Mayan Warrior Jade Cup is hand made. This is stoneware pottery with food safe commercial glazes. I am doing a series of Ceylon Jade Cups that are designs from our Aztec Death Whistles collection. 

Jade is considered as a semi precious stone but to many ancient cultures around the world including Mexico and Central America Jade was very precious. To the Maya Jade held a special place in Mayan society and was a used to carve the most amazing artifacts. This cup can be used for you favorite drink Coffee, Cacao, Chocolate of your favorite drink,  it measures approximately 3 inches  tall  by 5 inches wide with the handle. You will be receiving the exact Cup  in the description. 

This dishwasher safe cup is hand made, with the upmost detail it measures 3 inches tall x 5 inches across . It weighs 1 pounds, perfect for holding with a durable grip.

About the building process:  

We are always innovating and evolving, bringing you new products. I am using the knowledge I have of  hand building to bring you these new line of stoneware handmade Cups and Bowls. These type of cups and bowls are first thrown on the pottery wheel and then hand decorated with 3D designs, each piece is unique. I let the piece air dry for at least a week, then I further let them dry outdoor in the Sun. When the design is done I bisque the pieces and then further decorate the pieces with Food safe glazes and fired in a Kiln to high fire. These cups are made from commercial stoneware clay. Each piece takes close to twenty days to complete These items are one of a kind artisan piece. This craft is authentic Purepecha First Nations pottery.
